Position Title： Video Journalist

Sky Link TV San Francisco is seeking a Video Journalist who will join our editorial team to produce daily news content for TV broadcasts, online and social media.  The ideal candidate should be able to film, record sound, set up basic equipment and conduct interviews.  Part of his/her day-to-day duties will be reporting on breaking news, local news events or other newsworthy events.

Sky Link TV is a 24/7 Chinese Television Network and a multimedia organization that produces and delivers daily news and entertainment content to serve the in-language community in Northern America and New York East Coast. We currently broadcast several local Chinese TV channels in Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, and New York. National viewers across the country can also watch our programming through DISH Network. In addition to television, Sky Link TV also specializes in digital marketing and content distribution in different new media platforms, including YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, and all the major social media platforms etc.

***The ideal candidate is preferably to be able to understand and speak in either Cantonese or Mandarin ***

 

• Work with the assignment desk and editorial team to cover daily news assignments

• Filming at the news events to get all the visual footage

• Cover press events in the community

• Opportunity to work on your own feature story

• 1 year of experience in photography or video content creation is preferred, but not required.  We will provide training to the ideal candidate.

• Basic Video Editing Knowledge. Know how to use the most common video editing software, including Premiere, Final Cut Pro etc.

• Work effectively with others in a team environment

• Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent interpersonal skills

Position Title:  TV BILINGUAL NEWS REPORTER

RESPONSIBILITY AND REQUIREMENT:

 

General job duties include collecting information, preparing a factual story and creating articles or broadcasts that impart information to the public. Understand both Mandarin and Cantonese is preferred.

 

• Collects and analyzes information about newsworthy events to write news stories for publication or broadcast: Receives assignment or evaluates news leads and news tips to develop story idea.

• Gathers and verifies factual information regarding the story through interviews, observation, and research.

Your Day-to-Day:

​

Our next Digital Marketing Analyst will be an integral part of our growing Digital Marketing team, working across various projects, with a particular focus on Digital Advertising and Social Media Marketing.

• Develop and manage multiple video ads, banner ads, and bumper ads through Google Ads, including audits, promotion execution, campaign testing, and daily bid optimization.

• Conduct weekly in-depth quantitative analyses of Google Ads campaigns to improve and increase viewership.

• Manage budgets including revenue and expense forecasts, and deliver analytics reports to enhance the ROI for Google Ads campaigns

• Manage our day-to-day social media posting calendar on various platforms, including Facebook, YouTube etc.

• Conduct the SEM industry trends research, demographic research, and competitive analysis to support the sales team to gain more potential clients.

• Coordinates with the production team and sales team to ensure timely advertising materials for digital marketing campaigns and seasonal projects.

• Work with Search Engine Optimization team to execute A/B tests, collect and analyze research results, provide trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI in search campaigns. Track, report, and analyze official website / YouTube channel, Facebook page analytics, and PPC initiatives and campaigns. Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing.

• Develop data-driven strategies to optimize the SEO for the company website, including TV programming content, programming schedule, social media platforms, press releases, etc.

• Monitor the general market CPM and current technology trends. Analyze YouTube channel performance regularly, including impressions, click-through-rates, customer engagement rates, population break-down on

• Ability to edit and write marketing materials, from writing a title for YouTube video, synopsis, and titling for dramas and movies, subtitles, and coordinates with the Graphic Design team to create digital assets for our Amazon Prime Video platform.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

​

• Two years of hands-on experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist or similar role, with media and/or agency experience is a plus

• Proven success in Digital Marketing, including tactical and strategic achievement, with samples and results of past campaigns

• Experience monitoring and managing integrated marketing programs with both inbound (e.g., user engagement, search marketing) and outbound (e.g., display advertising, personalized media, social advertising, persona targeting, email) efforts

• Ability to meet or exceed project deadlines and budgeted hours

• Experience with Google tag manager

• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and project management skills

• Stellar time management and prioritization skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, including working with clients and internal team

• Knowledge of best-in-class SEO and analytics

• Bilingual (Cantonese and/or Mandarin/English) preferred

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

Sky Link TV San Francisco is seeking a Production Specialist, who will be joining our team for leading in producing commercials for clients on various media – TV, social, YouTube etc. Plus, you will be assisted to manage the production plan and work closely with teammates responsible for the creative development, production logistics, content quality and budget performance of the production. By working on a range of creative aspects, production processes for TV/Online programs, features and/or digital content with a special focus on lifestyle productions, this position will also work with core organization teams in the station including sales, marketing, and news to ensure the department’s creative vision and standards of quality is aligned.

Your Day-to-Day
 

• Work closely with the Advertising department to produce commercials for clients on various platforms – mainly focus on television. 

• Produce live or taped programs, segment and every piece of content that is taped and produced for each show.

• Able to shoot and edit news videos, TV shows, short films and work closely with clients and teammates to ensure desired results.

• Oversee and coordinate the gathering of interviews, video footage, sound bites, music, props, etc.

• Work closely with the News department to coordinate for any special coverage or videographer request.

• Work closely with the Marketing department to produce in-house promos for various programs.

• Responsible to manage all the footage and production materials in the department.  

• Graphic skill is a plus

 

 

Required Skills & Experience
 

• 2 or more years of experience as a Production Specialist or similar role and preferably with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in TV Production, Communications, Multimedia, Film Production, Advertising, or other relevant fields of study.

• Must have a thorough practical knowledge of TV Production and be familiar with budget management and all stages of program development, from conception to videotape editing.

• Must demonstrate creativity; ability to perform multiple tasking,

• Work effectively with others in a team environment.
